Brielle gives boat tours and takes care of her disabled father, but she dreams of sailing around the world. In her spare time, she searches the waters of Tahiti for lost items and tries to return them to their owners. One day, she finds a U.S. Navy class ring on the ocean floor. She tracks down the ring's owner, a serviceman named Marcus, and the two meet up. Marcus was in the area to look for his class ring and his ex-fiancée's engagement ring, which they had lost. After thanking Brielle, Marcus hires her to help search for the engagement ring. They spend a lot of time together over the next few days. While talking about their lives and hanging out with Brielle's family, the two start falling for each other.
