She Walks in Darkness (2025) is a Spanish political thriller based on the true stories of undercover agents who infiltrated the Basque separatist group ETA. The film, titled Un fantasma en la batalla in Spanish, was written and directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes and released on October 17, 2025.
Set between the 1990s and 2000s, the film follows Amaia, a young Civil Guard officer played by Susana Abaitua. She is recruited to go undercover within ETA, risking her life over more than a decade to locate the group's secret weapons caches, known as "zulos," in southern France. The plot is a fictionalized account inspired by the experiences of several members of the Civil Guard.
