All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade. It may sound a little strange, but the title and beating heart of Icelandic indie-folk collective Of Monsters and Men’s fourth album hits a lot closer to home than you’d expect. A tapestry of stories, moments, and conversations, the album explores how love and pain intertwine. Feelings that might seem at odds with each other, but co-exist simultaneously and need one another. Tales both big and small — from the loneliness and longing of living in a block surrounded by strangers, to missed connections in a grocery store, to the lives and losses of a community of mice in a vacant house during winter. Of Monsters and Men went from Reykjavík to the global stage with their breakout 2011 debut My Head Is An Animal, which propelled them from Icelandic indie darlings to international chart-toppers. The album’s breakout single “Little Talks,” a defining song for a generation, now boasts over 1 billion Spotify streams.

Bob Moses returns with their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Blink - a profound exploration of reconciling the past with the present. Created in a form of isolation, the album highlights the duo's mastery of liminal spaces, where they draw inspiration from the gray areas between rock and dance, light and dark, rhythm and reflection. Built on a foundation of atmospheric keyboard riffs, hypnotic drum loops, and introspective lyrics, Blink poses a poignant question: “How do you reconcile the desire to live a meaningful life with the realization that it can vanish in an instant?” Bob Moses consists of Vancouver-born musicians and producers Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance. The Grammy-winning duo has amassed a catalog with over 700 million global streams.

The album features 11 brand-new remixes from a carefully curated lineup, including: Jacana People, Eric Hilton (Thievery Corporation), The KBCS, Nautilus, DJ Slowz, Magro, Crackazat, Paskal & Urban Absolutes, Kid Fonque, Groove Chronicles, and Satin Jackets. Each remix honors the spirit of In Between while reimagining it through a different lens—ranging from deep house, nu-disco, and broken beat to downtempo, jazz-funk, and future soul.

With a cast as large as a movie's, Steve Martin's latest bluegrass album—a collaboration with fellow banjoist Alison Brown—is dizzy with stars, starting with the two impressive headliners. After several albums with Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell, Martin has joined forces with Brown, renowned for her work with Alison Krauss, Béla Fleck and Michelle Shocked. Together, their playing feels loose in the way of people so secure in their work—so, yes, safe, sensible and sane—that they can flash a little flair without risk. No wonder power players are drawn to their environment. Vince Gill brings sincerity and potency to "Wall Guitar (Since You Said Goodbye)," with Stuart Duncan of Nashville Bluegrass Band on virtuosic fiddle and those complimentary—not dueling!—banjos full of emotion. Tim O'Brien takes the mic, mandolin in tow, on plucky "5 Days Out, 2 Days Back," singing Martin's charming lyrics about road life. ("Give a little wave to the fans/ 5 days out and 2 days back …

Imagine you're driving down a rural two-lane road somewhere in the South, and you come upon a little beer joint. You pull over and go inside where there's a band–three guitars, bass and drums and a couple of female backing vocalists–playing some dirt road blues. The mood is loose, the band is tight and the lead singer has a voice that sounds like he's spent a lot of time traveling up-and-down dirt roads living and singing the blues. That's the sound of High, Lonesome, and Then Some, Todd Snider's 15th studio album.

"The sound of this formation allowed me to fetch themes from different musical worlds, from jazz to brass bands or street performers. I called this project INDIA as a reference to the title of the album I first recorded as a band leader: CHINE. This music is composed of melodies, dances, and improvisations supported by tenacious beats and rhythms. This brings out memories of a theatre on the docks of Calcutta, of a long train in the countryside, of a night in the Kalighat Kali Temple, of a brass band during Hindu Festival Ganesh Chaturthi… I wish that people hear the sounds of a faraway place that feels more like a dream than reality. I have been playing with this band which includes Sarah Murcia, Benjamin Moussay, and Christophe Lavergne since 2015. After “Loin dans les terres” and “Characters on a Wall” (ECM Records), this is our third opus, for which we were joined by trumpeter Olivier Laisney."

"Rosie" is the eighth studio album by folk-rock outfit Fairport Convention, released in 1973. The album was the first to feature Australian singer-songwriter guitarist Trevor Lucas and American lead guitarist Jerry Donahue. Both had previously played with ex-Fairport Sandy Denny, to whom Lucas was married, in the short-lived Fotheringay. Here they had effectively replaced Simon Nicol who had quit Fairport to join another ex-member Ashley Hutchings in The Albion Band, thus leaving the band with no original members until he rejoined in 1976. Remastered reissue includes previously unreleased bonus tracks, 'Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John' (Live), 'The Hen's March Through the Midden…' (Live), 'Rosie' (Live), & 'The Claw' (Live).

No matter what stylistic path they take, Green Carnation have never shied away from grand, gloomy statements.
Founded in the early '90s by Emperor's former bassist Tchort, the Norwegians quickly amassed a cult following thanks to one of the most ambitious epics in metal history. Even before going on hiatus during the mid-2000s, the ever-evolving auteurs still flashed a flare for the dramatic by performing their acoustic verses underneath a mountain dam. However, there was one tale - or three, to be exact - that continued to elude them. Until now. With A Dark Poem, Green Carnation have finally finished their masterpiece.
The idea for an album trilogy stems from Green Carnation’s earliest yesteryears, but the first part of A Dark Poem cites various passages from across their illustrious cannon…
