Making a bold return, genre-defying, North Carolina-bred quartet and live sensations Rainbow Kitten Surprise unveil their first full-length album in six years, Love Hate Music Box, via Elektra Entertainment / Parlophone. Produced by Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves) along with Konrad Snyder (Noah Kahan) and Melo, the much-anticipated album ponders life’s ups and downs, and traces the turbulent trajectory of relationships, painted out loud in hues of pop, electronic, rock, and hip-hop. As such, it finds the musicians at their most vulnerable, vibrant, and vital.

We spoke to Ghostly Kisses about “Darkroom”, their highly anticipated sophomore album out now on Akira Records. The French Canadian duo, Margaux Sauvé and Louis-Étienne Santais blend intimate fan-submitted stories with dark electronic pop across 12 tracks, further deepened by their “Box of Secrets” project. Building on the success of their debut album Heaven, Wait, which reached 150 million streams, “Darkroom” has already made strides with hits like “On & Off,” winner of the Biiblii International Track of The Year. Aside from their recording achievements, Ghostly Kisses enhances their global rapport through extensive touring, now prepping for their largest UK/EU tour to date, which includes multiple sold-out venues among its 22 stops.

Pirate Radio is the third album by Sweet Lizzy Project, but the first to be produced entirely in the U.S. Although inspired by our origins in Cuba, the themes and emotions are relatable to anyone who has ever been in love, scared, angry, sad, or inspired to change their world. The songs chronicle the band’s influences, both American and Cuban, in a body of work that honors our homeland, shares sorrow and frustration with its current state, and expresses hope for the future of the country and our people. The album’s production is a tribute to the band’s roots as well. We wanted to create something of our own from start to finish, from the conception of the songs to the final master. The record was produced, mixed and mastered by Miguel Comas and it features incredible songwriters such as Blair Daly, Zac Malloy, Sam Hollander, Emily Haber and Raul Malo. Another unique feature of this album is that it’s our first body of work made entirely in both English and Spanish.

With 4 million copies sold, it is not only the biggest success in the label's history but also the best-selling piano solo album! And many of those who bought this live recording, recorded on January 24, 1975 in the Cologne Opera House, did not yet own a jazz album in their record collection.

Born in Singapore in 1986, and currently based in Japan, Wong’s career has from the outset seen him darting back and forth between Asia and Europe. His connection with Germany goes especially deep, beginning in Bamberg at the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition, where he won first prize in 2016. His first full-time conducting role was just 40 miles away, at the Nuremberg Symphony, serving as their Chief Conductor from 2018 to 2022. Back on his home continent, since 2021 Wong has been closely associated with the Japan Philharmonic, initially as Principal Guest Conductor, becoming their Chief Conductor this year. (Earlier this summer, Wong was also appointed Principal Conductor of The Hallé in Manchester, beginning in autumn 2024.)
